Externship Highlights

As an extern, you’ll gain practical, real-world experience while working side‑by‑side with our veterinarians and staff in a supportive, high‑functioning environment. Your hands‑on training will include:

• Gathering patient histories and conducting physical exams
• Creating treatment and diagnostic plans
• Participating in dentistry, imaging, and lab work
• Observing and assisting in surgical procedures
• Medical management of patients
• Practicing client communication and team collaboration

You won’t be on the sidelines—you’ll be learning by doing.

Program Details

• Location: Cypress, TX (Northwest Houston area)
• Duration: minimum 2 weeks, up to 4 weeks, depending on student/hospital availability
• Open to: veterinary students
• Stipend: Up to $1,000 for students in their clinical year
