Frederick Road Veterinary Hospital is seeking veterinary students for an externship opportunity that provides hands-on experience in patient management. Students will work closely with supervising veterinarians to perform physical examinations, create treatment plans, and assist in surgeries.
This externship ranges from two to eight weeks and offers a stipend of $1,500 to cover travel and living expenses. All veterinary students are encouraged to apply, gaining invaluable experience in a supportive environment.

Students will work closely with the supervising veterinarian to gain experience in gathering patient histories, performing physical examinations, creating treatment plans, diagnostics, dentistry services, observing or assisting in surgical procedures, and medical management of patients.
Most externship experiences range from two to eight weeks depending on student and hospital schedules. All veterinary students (regardless of class year) are encouraged to participate in NVA externships.
Veterinary students in the clinical portion of their education are eligible for a travel/living expense stipend. The stipend amount for Frederick Road Veterinary Hospital is $1,500.
