Abqpetcarehospital in Bloomingdale, Illinois, offers an externship opportunity for DVM students to learn day-to-day veterinary practices. Participants will gain hands-on clinical experience while working closely with Associate Veterinarians.
The externship lasts from two to eight weeks and includes patient management and surgical procedure assistance. Eligible students receive a stipend for travel and living expenses, along with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and paid time off.
An externship experience at an NVA hospital provides students with the opportunity to learn the day‑to‑day operations of a veterinary practice. Students will work closely with supervising Associate Veterinarians to gain hands‑on clinical experience.
The externship lasts from two to eight weeks, depending on student and hospital schedules. All DVM students, regardless of class year, are encouraged to participate.
Veterinary students in the clinical portion of their education are eligible for a travel/living expense stipend.
