Creature Comfort Animal Clinic offers up to a $2,500 travel stipend for Clinical Year Externships.
Creature Comfort Animal Clinic is a 4-doctor practice that values building friendships with clients and teammates. We prioritize open communication, teamwork, and have doctors who love to teach. Our clinic primarily sees companion animals but also cares for pocket pets and exotics, with 2 doctors experienced in exotic animals.
Externs will work closely with the supervising veterinarian to gain experience in gathering patient histories, performing physical exams, creating treatment plans, diagnostics, dentistry, observing or assisting with surgical procedures, and managing medical cases. They will also have opportunities to improve communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients.
Externship durations typically range from two to eight weeks, depending on student and hospital schedules. Creature Comfort Animal Clinic offers externships to 4th-year veterinary students.
