Job summary

The Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) in Hoboken, NJ is seeking a Clinical Staff Manager to lead the hospital’s support staff, elevate patient care, and promote VEG’s values across teams.

You will recruit, onboard, train, and develop credentialed technicians and veterinary assistants, oversee shifts, manage performance, and drive process improvements with the Medical Director and regional leaders to ensure outstanding emergency care.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a clinical veterinary technician role
• 2+ years in a leadership role
• Must be enrolled in a Credentialing Support Program and become a Credentialed Veterinary Technician within one year
• Flexibility to work 5 days per week, including weekends and holidays
• Able to work in a fast-paced, multi-background environment

Responsibilities

• Directly oversee the support staff and lead across all shifts
• Foster a learning culture and coach staff using formal education tracks
• Recruit, onboard and train credentialed technicians and assistants
• Address staff concerns and resolve conflicts promptly to protect patient care
• Collaborate with Medical Director and Regional Support Staff Director on process improvements
• Develop and maintain hospital staffing, payroll, and performance management processes
