Job summary

MedVet Associates, Ltd., a fast-growing Emergency and Specialty provider, seeks a Veterinary Clinical Manager in Virginia to lead a collaborative team and deliver the MedVet Experience to patients, clients, and referral partners.

Reporting to the Hospital Director, you will develop and mentor staff, optimize schedules and processes, manage department finances, and foster a culture of teamwork, leadership and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent college-level courses and experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
• Capability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to prioritize duties and responsibilities to meet deadlines.
• Highly professional and able to work with people at all levels of the organization.
• Must have standard knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours in the hospital unless approved by Hospital Director.
• Must be flexible to meet department needs, including after-hours and weekend coverage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure department healthcare team has resources and tools to deliver the MedVet Experience.
• Coach team on process improvement to maintain efficiency and sustainability.
• Collaborate with other departments.
• Develop, monitor, and adjust schedules to maximize efficiency.
• Recommend supplies and equipment purchases in collaboration with department representatives.
• Manage and influence department financial decisions and health.
• Lead change and foster a collaborative, service-oriented culture as the organization grows.
• Provide a comprehensive clinical onboarding training schedule for all team members.
• Give ongoing performance feedback and development plans for each team member.
• Attract and retain exceptional staff through enriching Employee Experience, growth, and development.
• Split time between clinical and administrative duties with at least 50% on administrative tasks.
