Job summary

MedVet is seeking a Nursing Veterinary Clinical Manager in Cleveland, OH to lead a high-performing clinical team and support staff. You will report to Hospital Director and Medical Director to foster a culture of collaboration, career development, and exceptional service to patients, clients, and referral partners.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure department healthcare team has resources and tools to deliver the MedVet Experience.
  • Coach team on process improvement to keep operations efficient.
  • Collaborate with other departments.
  • Develop, monitor, and adjust schedules to maximize efficiency.
  • Recommend supplies and equipment purchases in collaboration with department reps.
  • Manage and influence department financial decisions and health.
  • Lead change in a growing organization and foster collaboration.
  • Provide onboarding training for all team members.
  • Give ongoing performance feedback and development plans.
  • Negotiate and mediate conflicts with HR support.
  • Screen client and referral partner concerns and resolve with hospital dyad.
  • Provide written performance feedback and development plans for each team member.
  • Attract and retain talent with meaningful work and career growth.
  • Split time 50% clinical and 50% administrative, varies by department.

MedVet is a fast-growing Emergency and Specialty provider with practices nationwide. We help our patients receive advanced medical treatments and innovations. Things like chemotherapy and radiation, cardiac ablations, treatments for glaucoma, physical rehabilitation, dermatology and so much more! We are looking for collaborative and driven people to join our clinical team.

Nursing Veterinary Clinical Manager

This role has a hiring range of $70,000-85,000/year based on experience.

Reporting directly to the Hospital Director, the Clinical Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining a team of engaged and empowered team members to provide exceptional service to our patients, clients, and referral partners. In this role, the Clinical Manager works with the Hospital Director and Medical Director to promote a culture of collaboration, foster career development, and cultivate inclusivity. Through delivering optimal Employee Experiences and MedVet Experiences, the Clinical Manager contributes to Healthy Growth.

What you’ll do:
  • Ensure department healthcare team has the resources and tools needed to deliver the MedVet Experience
  • Coach team members on fundamentals of process improvement, ensuring the department is operating in an efficient and sustainable manner
  • Collaborate with other departments
  • Develop, monitor, and adjust schedules according to workflow to maximize efficiency
  • Make recommendations in collaboration with the service/department representative for the purchase of needed supplies and equipment
  • Manage and influence department financial decisions and health
  • Effectively influence behavior and lead change in a rapidly growing organization while fostering a collaborative, service-oriented culture
  • Provide a comprehensive clinical onboarding training schedule for all team members
  • Provide ongoing and continuous performance feedback, instruction, and follow up to team members as part of a healthy Employee Experience
  • Negotiate and mediate conflict in partnership with the HR Partner
  • Perform initial screening of client and referral partner concerns, and collaborate with the hospital dyad to resolve
  • Provide written performance feedback and a development plan annually for each member of their healthcare team
  • Attract and retain exceptional team members by providing an enriching Employee Experience that provides meaningful work, career growth, and ongoing professional development
  • Split time between clinical and administrative duties with a minimum of 50% of the time spent on administrative tasks (this varies depending on the hospital/department size, number of direct reports, and staffing needs)

  • Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours in the hospital unless otherwise approved by the Hospital Director
  • Must be flexible to meet the needs of the department, which includes a mix of after-hour and weekend coverage
