Job summary

Sacramento SPCA is seeking a Veterinary Clinic Receptionist to support the Spay and Neuter Clinic. This role handles scheduling, front-desk customer service, and transcription of surgical notes into the shelter management system.

You will maintain a positive environment for clients and animals and assist in vaccine check‑in/out as needed. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and at least 6 months of customer service experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 6 months customer service experience.
• Experience handling animals is preferred but not required.
• Ability to operate basic office equipment and data systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service at front desk.
• Answer high-volume multi-line phone system and schedule appointments.
• Enter surgical records, manage appointments and emails.
• Handle cash, daily paperwork, and daily cash register tasks.
• Maintain SSPCA policies in communications with the public.
