Job summary

Hog Mountain Animal Hospital in Georgia is seeking a dependable Veterinary Client Service Representative to join our small animal practice dedicated to compassionate care. You will manage the front desk, schedule appointments, process payments, and act as a welcoming liaison for clients and pets.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of customer service experience, comfort with dogs and cats, and a proactive, teamwork-focused attitude. Bilingual English/Spanish is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of customer service experience is preferred.
• Previous veterinary experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.
• English/Spanish bilingual skills are helpful but not required.
• You may not need a high school diploma or GED; commitment and reliability matter more.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls professionally and efficiently
• Make outbound reminder and follow-up calls
• Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and manage appointments
• Actively work reminder lists to fill available appointment times
• Follow up on cancellations and no-shows
• Check clients and patients in and out
• Collect payments and deposits
• Review invoice items and balances with clients at checkout
• Respond to client emails and text messages
• Receive prescription refill requests and route them appropriately
• Read and understand information in patient medical records
• Keep the reception area clean, organized, and stocked
• Remain calm and professional when working with upset or emotional clients
• Know when a situation should be handled independently and when it should be escalated
