Animal Outpatient Dentistry and Oral Surgery of New Mexico, part of Animal Outpatient Specialty Network, is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant with shared Client Service responsibilities to join our team in Albuquerque. You will greet clients, prepare exam rooms, assist doctors during examinations and surgeries, review treatment plans, process invoices, and help maintain a clean hospital environment.

A high school diploma and experience in a veterinary setting are preferred, with a strong

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in public-facing roles (restaurant, retail, service) preferred.
• Experience in a veterinary hospital or doctor’s office is a plus.
• Dependable attendance required.
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
• Ability to walk, bend, squat, stand or reach for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome clients, manage appointments.
• Prepare clients for exam room consultations and assist doctors during examinations.
• Review treatment plans with clients and process invoices/payments.
• Assist technicians during procedures, restrain patients as needed, and help with discharge instructions.
• Maintain a clean, organized hospital environment including kennels, treatment areas, lobby, and restrooms.
