Job summary

Del Norte Animal Clinic, part of Western Veterinary Partners, is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to support outpatient care and procedural services including surgery and dentistry in Albuquerque, NM.

The role requires versatility, excellent client communication, and hands-on skills in anesthesia monitoring, dental prophylaxis, and surgical assistance. You will maintain detailed records and contribute to high-quality patient care across inpatient and outpatient workflows.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of veterinary technician or assistant experience.
• Proficient in anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery.
• Experience with dental procedures and radiography.
• Strong communication and client education skills.

Responsibilities

• Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
• Performing anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
• Assisting in surgery
• Performing dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography
• Maintaining accurate medical records and treatment documentation
• Reviewing treatment plans and discharge instructions with clients
• Identifying patient concerns and supporting case management across the hospital
• Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service
