Job summary

RiseMe is seeking a compassionate veterinary client services specialist to join our growing team. You will handle front-desk duties, assist with appointments, process payments, and coordinate communications between clients, specialists, and our veterinary team.

The ideal candidate has 1+ years in a veterinary client-facing role, strong communication, and proficiency with practice management software (preferably ezyVet).

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in a veterinary client service, reception, or similar client-facing role within a veterinary or healthcare setting.
  • Experience managing inventory, ordering hospital supplies, and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
  • Ability to manage and process online pharmacy approval requests.
  • Experience coordinating specialty, referral, and outside veterinary appointments, including communicating information between clients, specialists, and the veterinary team.
  • Ability to assist with reception and front-desk responsibilities, including multi-line phones and in-person client interactions.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and follow-through skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience scheduling appointments and coordinating calendars.
  • Ability to accurately process payments and maintain financial records.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with the veterinary team.
  • Ability to remain calm and solution-oriented during busy periods.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a veterinary client service and front-desk team member as needed.
  • Coordinate calendars and scheduling for appointments, including referrals and specialists.
  • Process payments and maintain financial records.
  • Operate and utilize veterinary practice management software, especially ezyVet.

Job description

Schedule and compensation:
  • Compensation: $17-20 per hour, for each hour worked
  • This is a flexible, full-time position, with a 5/8 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

1+ years of experience in a veterinary client service, reception, or similar client-facing role within a veterinary or healthcare setting

  • Proficiency in the following skills:
  • Experience managing inventory, ordering hospital supplies, and maintaining appropriate stock levels
  • Ability to manage and process online pharmacy approval requests accurately and efficiently
  • Experience coordinating specialty, referral, and outside veterinary appointments, including communicating necessary information between clients, specialists, and the veterinary team
  • Ability to assist with reception and front-desk responsibilities as needed, including multi-line phones and in-person client interactions
  • Experience working with veterinary practice management software, especially ezyVet, preferred
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to provide compassionate, professional service to clients during both routine and emotionally sensitive situations
  • Strong organizational, time management, and follow-through skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience scheduling appointments and coordinating calendars preferred

We are a six-doctor, rapidly growing veterinary hospital dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to pets and the families who love them. Our team focuses on building strong relationships with our clients while delivering personalized veterinary medicine in a collaborative, supportive environment where every team member plays an important role in patient care.

To support this level of care, our facility is equipped with modern veterinary technology including digital X-ray, ultrasound, therapeutic laser therapy, and in-house laboratory equipment (Abaxis / Zoetis) to help provide efficient diagnostics and treatment for our patients. As part of our continued growth and expansion, we are also adding digital dental radiography, allowing our medical team to further enhance the level of dental care we provide.
