Court Square Animal Hospital in Long Island City, NY, is seeking a caring Veterinary Assistant / Client Service Representative to join our team. This hybrid role blends hands-on patient care with exceptional client service in a busy practice.

You will work with veterinarians and technicians, assisting with exams, treatments, and hospital tasks while ensuring a welcoming client experience and accurate records. Join a collaborative hospital family committed to excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a veterinary hospital or clinical setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working directly with animals and interacting with pet owners.
• Basic understanding of veterinary terminology and animal behavior.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with patient handling, restraint, examinations, and treatments.
• Provide compassionate care and monitoring for hospitalized and in-house patients.
• Assist with preparing exam rooms, treatment areas, and medical supplies for appointments and procedures.
• Fill and prepare prescriptions as directed by veterinarians and licensed veterinary technicians.
• Support the medical team with daily clinical tasks, patient care responsibilities, and hospital projects.
• Observe patient behavior and communicate any concerns to the veterinary team.
• Follow hospital protocols for patient safety, sanitation, and infection prevention.
