Job summary

Mount Laurel Animal Hospital is seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to serve as a Patient Care Advocate. This role bridges medicine and client experience, acting as the liaison between our medical teams and pet owners to keep clients informed and confident throughout their pet's journey.

The position combines advanced client communication with hands-on veterinary support, including patient handling, discharge appointments, and other technician responsibilities to support hospital operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of veterinary clinical experience.
• Ability to educate clients with compassion and professionalism.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English.
• Comfortable working with electronic medical record systems.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced specialty and emergency hospital.
• Self-motivated and confident leading communication between departments.
• Organized with great attention to detail and time management.
• Calm, compassionate, and professional under pressure.
• Preferred CVT certification.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary communication liaison between clients and the medical team.
• Complete patient follow-up calls and document client interactions in the medical record.
• Educate clients on medications, treatment plans, and home care instructions.
• Assist with patient discharges, handling and restraining patients as needed.
• Support technicians and veterinarians during periods of high patient volume.
