You will partner with the Manager of Talent Acquisition to anticipate and meet the evolving needs of the hiring teams and deliver the best talent to MedVet. The position will nurture relationships with veterinary schools and students, effectively recruiting doctors to MedVet's house officer training programs. You are a true contributor to the growth of the company and assist in providing the talent that makes MedVet successful.
What you'll do:
- Lead the MedVet Student Ambassador program for assigned schools, including interviewing, onboarding, managing ambassadors, and overseeing student ambassador activities.
- Conduct virtual group meetings with all Student Ambassadors monthly, outside of regular business hours.
- Manage and meet with Student Ambassadors monthly to discuss program and event strategies throughout the school year.
- Organize events and activities such as virtual events, university visits, and conferences for recruiting and local team attendance.
- Recruit and hire candidates for the Emergency Clinician Mentorship Program (ECMP) for regional openings.
- Maintain and update databases of interns and residents across the US, Canada, and other countries, as well as contacts for conferences and recruiting events.
- Use software tools like applicant tracking systems and marketing/contact tools to enhance outreach and follow-up with potential candidates.
- Attend veterinary conferences, job fairs, and university events virtually and in person, with up to 25% travel annually.
- Conduct virtual happy hours related to ECMP outside of regular business hours.
- Create monthly reports on budget, events, sourcing, and recruiting activities.
- Identify new opportunities and expand existing recruiting activities at veterinary schools, conferences, and events.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key contacts at universities, veterinary colleges, and conference organizers.
- Manage inventory for event needs, including updating and shipping from the main office.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop recruiting materials and leverage social media to support recruiting efforts.
Who you are:
- Experience in recruiting, especially campus recruiting; veterinary experience is a plus.
- Technologically savvy with strong PC skills, proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and influence without direct authority.
- Flexible, adaptable, and quick to respond to change.
- Excellent judgment, organization, and time management skills to handle multiple projects under deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Customer service-oriented.
- Willing to travel up to 25% for university activities and conferences.
