Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as veterinary assistant preferred.
• Proficiency in client communication and education.
• Experience assisting with exams, treatments, blood draws, and outpatient procedures.
• Experience with surgery setup and assisting.
• Radiology positioning and safety protocols.
• Medication administration and accurate drug calculations.
• Safe, low-stress patient handling and restraint techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, surgical procedures, and dentistry.
• Provide safe, gentle patient handling and restraint during outpatient and procedural care.
• Prepare patients, equipment, and treatment areas for appointments and procedures.
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation.
• Review treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately.
