Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a veterinary assistant
• Proficiency in client communication, animal handling, and low-stress restraint
• Ability to assist in surgical procedures, exams, blood draws, and outpatient procedures
• Experience maintaining medical records and radiology positioning; comfort with pocket pets, reptiles, and avian patients preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Supporting veterinarians during exams, treatments, surgical procedures, and dentistry
• Providing safe, gentle patient handling and low-stress restraint
• Preparing patients, equipment, and treatment areas for appointments and procedures
• Maintaining accurate medical records and treatment documentation
• Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
• Building positive client relationships through education and attentive service
• Maintaining clean, organized exam rooms and treatment areas
