VCABaring Blvd Animal Hospital is looking to add a relief veterinary assistant to the team!

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00

The Veterinarian Assistant at VCA Baring Blvd plays a crucial role in supporting our Doctors and creating a positive environment for clients and patients. The successful candidate will believe in high-quality veterinary medicine and have the technical skills to support it.

Responsibilities include:

1. Providing excellent customer service, including greeting visitors, answering phones, and guiding clients and pets to exam rooms.
2. Scheduling and confirming appointments.
3. Making follow-up calls and reaching out to prospective clients.
4. Explaining fees and processing payments.
5. Recommending and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions.
6. Educating clients on pet care topics like heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control.
7. Managing medical records, reports, and correspondence.
8. Maintaining hospital cleanliness and organization inside and outside.
9. Preparing surgical areas and patients.
10. Filling prescriptions and performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
11. Providing compassionate care for hospitalized and boarded pets.
