We seek passionate, motivated, and team-oriented individuals who love working with animals and people. Candidates should be adaptable, eager to learn, honest, respectful, and possess excellent communication skills.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO

  1. Treat each patient and customer with compassion and care.
  2. Perform nursing care tasks, monitor patients, and administer treatments.
  3. Triages patients based on understanding of diseases and physical assessments.
  4. Administer medications and understand their effects.
  5. Set up and monitor IV fluids and blood transfusions.
  6. Participate in outpatient and inpatient care as a team member.
  7. Conduct patient rounds for continuity of care.
  8. Perform CPR as a RECOVER Certified Rescuer.
  9. Collect samples, perform diagnostic tests, and assist with imaging.
  10. Assist with sedation and anesthesia under supervision.
  11. Perform nursing tasks like catheter placement and oxygen therapy.
  12. Work alongside licensed veterinary technicians.
  13. Gain additional training for roles like technician credentialing, community outreach, and leadership.

Veterinary Assistants may also, where permitted by law:

  1. Administer anesthesia and monitor patients.
  2. Perform vascular access and diagnostic techniques.
  3. Contribute to treatment and care plans.
  4. Receive further training for advanced roles.
