BluePearl Pet Hospital in Christina, DE is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant Practice Manager to join our state-of-the-art emergency and specialty hospital.

Pay: $32.50 - $47.50 / hour

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience.

As the Assistant Practice Manager, you will:

• Direct and supervise associates.
• Create an organizational environment and value systems that stimulate morale and productivity.
• Collaborate with training and clinical staff to meet training and quality goals.
• Coach and lead through effective feedback to associates.
• Monitor and evaluate daily operations.
• Partner with the Practice Manager to develop action plans to maximize hospital efficiency and oversee implementation of improvements.
• Handle personnel functions including hiring, work assignment, development, disciplinary actions, termination, and maintaining personnel records.
• Assist in budget preparation and ensure revenue targets and training goals are met.
• Review and approve employee schedules based on hospital needs.
• Manage inventory levels of supplies necessary for hospital operations.
• Prepare and submit timely reports as needed.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, SOPs, and OSHA guidelines.
• Build rapport with clients and referring DVMs to ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Minimize hospital liability through risk management reviews.
• Investigate unsafe situations and complaints.
• Work with the Practice Manager to maintain a positive team environment.
