Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians, educate clients on pet health, and maintain a safe hospital environment. You will assist with procedures, monitor hospitalized pets, and help ensure high-quality care in a busy clinic environment.

The role requires NAVTA-trained credentials or equivalent, strong communication, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting. Weekend/evening hours may be required as part of a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Certificate NAVTA Veterinary Assistant program or equivalent.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year related experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ for radiography (x-ray) duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians to ensure quality pet care.
• Educate clients about wellness plans and preventive care.
• Obtain and document medical history from clients.
• Maintain clean, sterile treatment areas and labs.
• Assist with surgery and monitor hospitalized or surgical pets.
