Wellshire Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team and support exceptional experiences for our clients and patients across all aspects of hospital care. This role offers the opportunity to be involved in patient care, client service, surgery, dentistry, and outpatient procedures.

The ideal candidate is dependable, team-oriented, and proactive, with the ability to multitask, anticipate team needs, communicate professionally, and provide excellent support

Qualifications

• 3+ years of veterinary assistant experience required.
• Proficiency in safe animal handling and restraint for dogs and cats.
• Ability to assist with exams, treatments, blood draws, and outpatient procedures.
• Experience maintaining medical records and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows.
• Provide safe, stress-free patient handling and restraint.
• Prepare patients, equipment, and treatment areas for appointments and procedures.
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation.
• Review treatment plans and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately.
• Build positive client relationships through education and attentive service.
