Job summary

VCA Animal Emergency Hospital Southeast Calder Road is seeking an Overnight Emergency Veterinary Technician to join our one-of-a-kind Emergency and Critical Care Hospital in League City, TX.

This full-time overnight position requires experience as a veterinary technician and the ability to work weekends/holidays, with shifts 6 pm–3 am Wednesday through Saturday, and lifting up to 30 pounds. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits available.

Qualifications

  • Veterinary technician credentials required (CVT/RVT/LVT).
  • Emergency veterinary experience preferred.
  • Must be able to lift 30+ pounds and work weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Place IV catheters and monitor anesthesia during procedures.
  • Triage emergency cases and manage hospitalized patients.
  • Communicate effectively with doctors and staff; calculate drug dosages.
  • Administer medications via injection, oral, and topical routes.
  • Follow hospital checklists and maintain high standards of patient care.

Job description

VCA Animal Emergency Hospital Southeast Calder Road is looking for an Overnight Emergency Veterinary Technician to join a one-of-a-kind Emergency and Critical Care Hospital!

Full-time, Overnight, Wednesday‑Saturday 6 pm - 3 am.

Pay Range: $22.00 - $24.00/hr.

Location: League City, TX 77573

Veterinary Technician Experience required. Emergency experience preferred. Must be able to work weekends and holidays. Must be able to lift over 30 pounds without assistance.

Responsibilities
  • Must be able to place IV Catheters, surgery monitoring, triage emergency cases, manage hospitalized cases, communicate efficiently with doctors and staff, calculate drug dosing, administer medications via injection, oral, and topical routes.
  • Standard hospital cleaning duties.
  • Follow hospital checklists and protocols.
  • Maintain highest standard of patient care.
