Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking an extraordinary Neurology Veterinary Assistant to support stable hospitalized patients and assist with outpatient diagnostics and treatments.

As an MRI Veterinary Assistant, you will perform patient intake and triage, set up and troubleshoot the MRI room, operate imaging equipment, and assist with radiographs while maintaining detailed records and client communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide clear discharge instructions to clients.
• Maintain accurate records including patient history and treatment details.
• Assist with cost estimates.
• Work with hospital staff to ensure hospitalized patients receive optimal care.

The primary function of the Veterinary Assistant is to be responsible for helping with treatments of stable hospitalized patients and helping with stable outpatient diagnostics and treatments.
As a MRI Veterinary Assistant, You Will Perform

• Patient intake and triage
• Set-up and troubleshoot MRI room and machine
• Operating diagnostic imaging equipment (primarily MRI) and assist in capturing radiographs and other diagnostic images
• Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement, according to associate level
• Clear and concise discharge instructions to clients.
• Maintenance of accurate records, including patient history, treatment details, and client communication. Assist with the completion of cost estimates.
• Diagnostics (i.e: CBC, Chem Panel, NOVA, iSTAT, UA)
• Work in conjunction with all technical staff across the hospital to ensure hospitalized patients receive optimal care. Maintain open communication with the Neurology Clinicians.
