SouthPark Animal Clinic in Littleton, Colorado, seeks an experienced Veterinary Assistant to support clients and patients across hospital care. Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a veterinary assistant.
• Safe animal handling and stress-free restraint for dogs, cats, pocket pets, reptiles, and birds.
• Strong client communication and education skills.
• Knowledge of basic veterinary terminology and patient care.
• Assist with exams, treatments, blood draws, and outpatient procedures.
• Assist in surgical procedures and dental prophylaxis.
• Experience collecting histories, weights, and vitals; maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, surgeries, and dentistry.
• Handle patients safely and restrain them for outpatient care.
• Prepare patients, equipment, and treatment areas for procedures.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Review treatment plans and discharge instructions with clients.
• Educate clients and build positive relationships.
• Keep exam rooms and spaces clean and prepared.
