Job summary

Lovet Pet Health Care in Goodyear, AZ is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support our growing animal hospital. You will work under the doctor’s supervision, assisting with procedures and providing compassionate care to pets and clients.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills help educate owners, obtain consent for treatments, and deliver outstanding service. The role involves medical record management, basic diagnostics, vaccination administration, and ensuring a clean, well-equipped

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Able to lift at least 40 pounds.
• Certification/degree preferred for veterinary support.

Responsibilities

• Assist the doctor with procedures under supervision.
• Educate clients about pet care and obtain consent for treatments.
• Deliver WOW customer service to clients and their pets.
• Manage medical records using practice management software.
• Dispense medications, take x-rays, draw blood, place catheters, obtain samples and provide treatments.
• Set up, break down, and maintain medical equipment; assist with cleaning.
• Assist with cleaning all areas of the hospital.
