Job summary

Lovet Pet Health Care in Glendale, AZ is seeking a Veterinary Technician to support doctors with procedures and deliver compassionate care for our patients. You will assist in surgeries, monitor anesthesia, and maintain accurate medical records, while delivering exceptional client service.

The role requires lifting abilities, teamwork, and a commitment to ongoing training and growth within our hospital network.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and oral communication abilities.
• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds.
• Certified veterinary technician preferred; associate degree in veterinary assisting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the doctor with medical procedures, including surgery, under supervision.
• Provide high-quality care to all pets and excellent customer service to clients.
• Assist in surgery care relative to pre-anesthetic protocol, anesthesia monitoring, and post-operative care.
• Communicate with clients about their pet’s care and obtain consent for treatment plans.
• Manage medical records in the practice management software.
• Dispense medication, perform x-rays, blood draws, catheter placement, sample collection, and vaccines.
• Set up, break down, and clean of medical equipment; assist with hospital cleaning.
