Bond Vet is seeking a compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team in Chicago. You will work closely with veterinarians and vet techs to deliver high-quality care, including scribing during visits, assisting with procedures, and supporting clients throughout visits.

The role is full-time (40 hours/week) with a rotating four 10-hour shift schedule. Prior veterinary assistant experience, strong communication, and a passion for pets are essential to succeed in this dynamic,

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience as a veterinary assistant or kennel assistant.
• Working knowledge of veterinary terminology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Scribe for veterinarians during visits.
• Assist with surgeries, x-rays, treatments and other procedures.
• Handle and restrain pets for exams with compassion.
• Record and report on patient symptoms.
• Clean, restock and maintain clinic areas and rooms.
• Explain pricing estimates and treatment plans to clients.
