Job summary

Bond Vet is seeking a compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team, supporting Veterinarians and Vet Technicians in providing exceptional care to pets and their families. You will scribe during visits and assist with procedures, x-rays and treatments while maintaining a high level of care and accuracy.

This is a full-time role (40 hrs/week) with a rotating 4x10 schedule and a weekend requirement of 4 shifts per month.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience as a veterinary assistant or kennel assistant.
• Working knowledge of veterinary terminology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency typing and using multiple computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Scribe for veterinarians during visits.
• Assist with surgeries, x-rays, treatments and procedures.
• Handle and restrain pets for exams with care and compassion.
• Record and report patient symptoms clearly.
• Restock and maintain exam areas and clinics.
• Explain pricing estimates and treatment plans to clients.
• Assist with client interactions, scheduling and education.
