Job summary

Companion Animal Hospital - WellHaven Pet Health in Spring Valley, NV is hiring a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians. You will help with surgery, dentistry, labs, venipuncture, and client education while maintaining strict sterile protocols.

You will also perform limited reception tasks, manage medical records, and assist with inventory. A high school diploma and 6+ months in veterinary care are required; NAVTA-approved training is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6+ months of experience in the veterinary industry.
• NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians with clinical tasks and procedures.
• Maintain accurate medical charts and client communication.
• Handle select reception duties: phones, appointments, intake and discharge.
• Manage hospital supplies and inventory.
• Ensure completion of duties before shift end.
