Job summary

WellHaven Pet Health is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians, educate clients, and help maintain the highest standards of care. The role involves assisting with surgeries, dentistry, lab work, and patient handling in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will manage patient records, administer medications as directed, and contribute to a positive, supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent experience preferred.
• 6+ months of veterinary industry experience.
• Ability to learn EMR and scheduling systems.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians and technicians in surgeries, dentistry, lab work, and venipuncture.
• Maintain accurate medical charts and document patient histories.
• Educate clients about Wellness Plans and pet care.
