Job summary

WellHaven Pet Health is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians, educate clients, and uphold high veterinary care standards. The role involves surgical and clinical support, charting, and front-desk duties in a fast-paced hospital environment.

You will work onsite, engage with pets, educate owners on wellness plans, and help manage supplies and patient flow. The position requires a High School Diploma, 6+ months’ veterinary experience, and NAVTA‑related training

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6+ months of experience in veterinary industry.
• NAVTA‑approved veterinary assistant program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians in surgery, dentistry, lab procedures, and venipuncture.
• Support hospital operations and client education.
• Maintain accurate medical charts and hospital records.
• Handle reception duties: calls, scheduling, and intake/discharge.
