Job summary

Benton Veterinary Hospital in Benton, Arkansas is a fast-paced, three-doctor general practice seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant. You will assist with triage, lab work, imaging, and patient care to support our team and clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year veterinary assistant experience preferred.
• Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
• Must be able to properly restrain pets.
• Proficient in sample collection, obtaining medical histories, processing laboratory tests and radiographs, andanesthesia monitoring are a bonus!
• Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset.

Responsibilities

• Restrain pets safely during examinations and procedures.
• Triage incoming patients and collect/analyze lab samples.
• Assist with diagnostic imaging and anesthesia monitoring.
• Provide nursing care for medical and hospitalized cases.
• Administer medications and communicate treatment plans with clients.
• Assist in surgical preparation and procedures.
