Benton Vet Hospital in Benton, Arkansas seeks an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our well-established three-doctor, fast-paced general practice dedicated to small animals.

Responsibilities include triage, restraint, lab analysis, diagnostic imaging, anesthesia monitoring, nursing care, medications, and clear client communication. We offer ongoing training and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year veterinary assistant experience preferred.
• Compassionate, calm, team player, multi-tasker, strong communicator.
• Must be able to properly restrain pets.
• Proficient in sample collection, obtaining medical histories, processing laboratory tests and radiographs; anesthesia monitoring is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Restrain pets appropriately.
• Triage incoming patients.

Benton Veterinary Hospital is a well-established, progressive, fast paced three doctor general small animal practice located in Benton, Arkansas. We offer many services to provide the best comprehensive care to our patients including Preventative Care, Surgery, Urgent Care, High Speed Dentistry, Cryotherapy, In-House Diagnostics, Therapy Laser, Acupuncture, and more.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Pet restraint, triage incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.

Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

Qualifications

• An experienced Veterinary Assistantwith a minimum of 1-year experience preferred.
