Job summary

Benton Veterinary Hospital in Benton, Arkansas, is seeking a Veterinary Assistant with at least 1 year of experience to join our fast-paced, three-doctor practice. You will assist with restraint, triage, lab work, radiographs, and anesthesia monitoring while delivering compassionate client communication and team support.

Qualifications

• An experienced Veterinary Assistant with a minimum of 1-year experience preferred.
• Must be able to properly restrain pets.
• Proficient in sample collection, obtaining medical histories, processing laboratory tests and radiographs, and anesthesia monitoring is a bonus!
• Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset.

Responsibilities

• Pet restraint, triage incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging.
• Management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability.
• Administration of medications and effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance.
