Job summary

VCA River in Chattanooga, TN is hiring an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our AAHA-accredited emergency and specialty animal hospital.

You will support our 24/7 Emergency & Critical Care service with compassionate patient care, diagnostics, treatments and client education, across Internal Medicine, Surgery, Imaging and more.

Qualifications

• Compassionate patient care and client education are essential.
• Lab collection and diagnostic processing required.
• Pharmacy medication administration skills needed.
• Imaging and anesthesia monitoring are part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, diagnostics and treatments for patients in 24/7 Emergency & Critical Care.
• Assist with surgical preparation and anesthesia monitoring.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00 / hr is based on experience and skill set.
