Job summary

VCA Animal Hospitals is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our AAHA-accredited emergency and specialty animal hospital in Chattanooga, TN. You will support our 24/7 Emergency & Critical Care service with care, diagnostics and treatments, including lab work, imaging, anesthesia monitoring and medical recordkeeping.

Qualifications

• Experience as a veterinary assistant is preferred.
• Strong patient care and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced emergency setting.

Responsibilities

• Support 24/7 Emergency & Critical Care with patient care, diagnostics and treatments.
• Assist with lab work, imaging, anesthesia, and surgical preparation.
• Maintain medical records and ensure accurate documentation.

Compensation: $18.00 - $22.00 / hour is based on skill set and experience.
