Job summary

You will educate clients on wellness plans, maintain medical histories, and uphold safety throughout the hospital environment.

The role involves activities within state practice acts, possible surgical assistance, and mentoring paraprofessionals while providing exceptional service to pets and their families.

Qualifications

• Provide professional, efficient and exceptional service at all times.
• Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans and hospital services.
• Obtain relevant information and history from clients and maintain medical charts.
• Ensure safety of pets, clients and associates by using safe restraining techniques and maintaining clean treatment areas.
• Assist with surgery as applicable and mentor paraprofessionals in the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars within self and team.
• Act as the extra eyes, ears and hands for the veterinarian and veterinary technician to maximize productivity.
• Communicate with veterinarians, technicians and associates to maintain patient flow.
• Monitor hospitalized or surgical pets as allowed by state practice acts.
• Perform or prepare procedures that do not require veterinarian assistance and complete preparatory work for other procedures.
