Qualifications

• NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent required; education, training and experience may substitute.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to perform NAVTA-approved program skills at a level that aids in practice efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians and technicians to ensure safety of pets, clients, and staff.
• Communicate with veterinarians and vet techs to coordinate care.
• Carry out procedures that do not require veterinarian or vet tech assistance.
• Maintain hospital standards to keep areas clean and organized.
• Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans and preventive care.
• Mentor other hospital team members.
