Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospital seeks a Veterinary Assistant to join our hospital team. You will support veterinarians and technicians, ensuring safety and high-quality care for pets and clients.

Ideal candidates have NAVTA-approved training or equivalent experience, plus a preference for a high school diploma. You will help maintain smooth patient flow and educate clients on preventive care and wellness plans, while supporting staff in daily tasks.

Qualifications

• NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient flow and assist veterinarians and vet techs.
• Communicate with veterinarians and staff to coordinate procedures.
• Assist in procedures that do not require direct veterinarian or vet tech presence.
• Educate clients on preventive care and wellness plans.
• Mentor other team members and uphold hospital standards.
