You will assist with patient flow, communicate with vets and techs, prepare procedures, and promote preventive care, while contributing to a positive, learning-focused work environment.

Qualifications

• NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program knowledge is required or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to perform all required NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program skills at a level that aids in the practice's efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the flow of patients and assist veterinarians and vet techs.
• Communicate with the veterinarian and vet techs.
• Carry out or set up procedures that do not require veterinarian or vet tech assistance.
• Adhere to hospital standards to keep pets safe and treatment areas clean and organized.
• Educate clients about wellness plans and preventive care.
• Mentor other hospital team members.
