Animal Family Veterinary Care Center in Davenport, IA seeks a Receptionist/Vet Assistant to join our AAHA-accredited practice. You will greet clients, manage appointments, record medical history and assist DVMs during procedures.

Ideal candidates bring strong customer service, organizational and time-management skills, plus the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting. A high school diploma and 1+ year in client services are preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills and ability to handle clients with empathy.
• Organizational skills and effective time management in a busy clinic.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in client services preferred.
• Must be computer literate and able to navigate new software.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and record patient medical history for veterinary visits.
• Handle front-desk duties including calls, appointments and payments.
• Explain procedures to clients and gather information as needed.
• Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures.
• Maintain accurate medical notes and record-keeping.
