Job summary

Alta Rancho Pet Hospital in Rancho Cucamonga, CA is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our compassionate team. The successful candidate will support veterinarians with exams and procedures, handle patients with care, and assist with basic dental work and radiographs.

A strong emphasis is placed on client communication, organization, and teamwork. We offer flexible part-time or full-time schedules, Saturday coverage, and a comprehensive benefits package for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• 3+ years clinical experience as a veterinary technician or assistant.
• AVMA-accredited Vet Tech or CVA program preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment; good veterinary exam history taking.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; strong client education.
• Experience with venipuncture and IV catheter placement; digital radiology.
• Comfort with anesthesia and surgical assisting is a plus.
• Laboratory skills including microscope and IDEXX knowledge.
