Alta Rancho Pet Hospital in Rancho Cucamonga, CA is seeking a Part-time Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team. The RVT will provide nursing care, anesthesia monitoring, dental procedures, radiology, and lab work, with duties across several species.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of veterinary clinical experience as a Veterinary Technician.
• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in California, or eligible to transfer within 3 months.
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment; proper animal handling and restraint.
• Ability to perform nursing care in hospital or outdoor setting.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Dental procedures: scaling, polishing, radiographs, extractions, suturing.
• IV Catheter and urinary catheter placement; casts, bandages, splints.
• Anesthesia monitoring and surgical care including intubation and postop care.
• Laboratory skills including cytology setup and interpretation.
• Diagnostic skills including digital radiology, dental radiology, ultrasound-guided cystocentesis.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing care and assist in surgical and anesthesia procedures.
• Operate and maintain diagnostic equipment and radiographs.
• Assist in dental, lab, and radiology tasks as part of patient care.
• Ensure patient safety and accurate medical record documentation.
