Job summary

Alta Rancho Pet Hospital in Rancho Cucamonga, California is seeking a Part-Time Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT). The role requires CA RVT registration or eligibility to transfer within 3 months and prior veterinary clinical experience.

You will perform nursing care, anesthesia monitoring, dental procedures, radiology, lab work and patient handling while collaborating with a supportive AmeriVet team committed to growth and a positive workplace.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of veterinary clinical experience as an RVT or eligible to transfer within 3 months of hire.
• California RVT license or eligibility required.
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment.
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint for various species.
• Dental procedures experience including scaling, polishing, radiographs, extractions, suturing.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in hospital or outdoor settings.
• Monitor anesthesia including intubation and post-operative care.
• Assist in dental procedures and radiographs.
• Perform laboratory tasks including cytology setup and interpretation.
• Handle animals with appropriate safety and care.
• Coordinate with the team to ensure efficient patient care.

We are currently looking to hire a Part-Time Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team at Alta Rancho Pet Hospital in Rancho Cucamonga, California. Salary: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, certifications, licensure, and location. Schedule: Part-Time Location: 8677 19th St, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 917010

Who You Are

• 3 + years of veterinary clinical experience, as a Veterinary Technician Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in California, or eligible to transfer/acquire state license within 3 months of hire required
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint for a variety of species
• Ability to perform nursing care in a hospital or outdoor setting
• Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
• Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
• Dental procedure experience, scaling, polishing, radiographs, extractions, suturing required
• Skilled in IV Catheter placement, urinary catheter placement, applying casts, bandages and splints
• Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience including intubation, monitoring, pre-operative and post-operative care
• Laboratory skills including cytology set-up and interpretation
• Diagnostic experience including digital radiology, dental radiology, and ultrasound-guided cystocentesis
• And all other duties of a Registered Veterinary Technician as allowable by law
