Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year veterinary assistant experience preferred.

• Must be able to properly restrain pets.
• Experience with sample collection, processing laboratory tests and radiographs, and anesthesia monitoring is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Restrain pets, triage patients, collect and analyze lab samples.
• Provide nursing care for medical and hospitalized cases and assist with diagnostic imaging.

This role requires flexibility to support both Veterinary Assistant and Reception responsibilities as needed.

Job Description

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Pet restraint, triage incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.

Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

Qualifications

• An experienced Veterinary Assistantwith a minimum of 1-year experience preferred.
