Job summary

Orchard Veterinary Hospital in South Burlington, VT is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our two-and-a-half-doctor small-animal practice. This full-time role offers a supportive team, competitive wages, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians during exams and procedures with confidence and care.
  • Provide gentle, effective animal restraint and help keep patients calm and safe.
  • Support our doctors and technicians by preparing and maintaining exam rooms and treatment areas.
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients to ensure they feel informed and supported.
  • Perform lab work, pharmacy duties, and sample collection as needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure equipment is cleaned and ready for use.
  • Deliver excellent customer service while helping our team run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Embrace the occasional 'cat rodeo' with safe, skilled handling.

Position Details

Role: Experienced Veterinary Assistant Status: Full-time Salary: $19.00-$21.00 per hour, based on experience Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.; no nights, weekends, or holidays!
