Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and medical procedures.
  • Provide compassionate nursing care from patient intake through discharge.
  • Obtain patient histories, vital signs, and thorough assessments.
  • Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
  • Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and diagnostic sample collection.
  • Assist with diagnostic testing and imaging.
  • Educate clients regarding care, medications, and preventive health.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and ensure clean, organized spaces.

What You’ll Do
  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and medical procedures.
  • Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care from patient intake through discharge.
  • Obtain patient histories, vital signs, and thorough patient assessments.
  • Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
  • Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and diagnostic sample collection.
  • Obtain high-quality radiographs and maintain hospital imaging standards.
  • Assist with diagnostic testing and other clinical procedures.
  • Utilize Fear Free and low‑stress handling techniques to support patient comfort and safety.
  • Educate clients with compassion, clarity, and confidence regarding patient care, medications, discharge instructions, and preventive healthcare.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and treatment documentation.
  • Keep treatment and exam areas clean, organized, stocked, and ready for patient care.
  • Follow infection‑control and hospital safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with veterinarians and teammates to maintain an efficient, positive workflow.
What You’ll Bring
  • Safe and effective patient handling and restraint skills.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive care, vaccines, and patient wellness.
  • Proficiency with venipuncture, phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection.
  • Experience obtaining high-quality radiographs and supporting diagnostic imaging.
  • An understanding of pharmacology and safe medication‑administration practices.
  • The ability to accurately triage patients and obtain thorough medical histories.
