Veterinary Client Service Representative/Hospital Assistant

Pet Dental Clinic, a Thrive Pet Healthcare partner, is looking for a Veterinary Client Service Representative/Veterinary Assistant to join our team and be part of the Thrive community.

At Pet Dental Clinic, you will have the support, tools, and resources to elevate your skills. Our hospital is deeply rooted in the local community, offering a genuine local feel combined with Thrive's national resources.

About You

This hybrid role involves clerical and clinical tasks, including greeting clients, scheduling, medical record preparation, animal handling, laboratory work, and assisting veterinary staff. Strong customer service and teamwork skills are essential.

Hospital hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with scheduling dependent on hospital needs, including front desk duties, assisting in treatment areas, or floating assistance.

Experience & Skills Requirements
  • Experience as veterinary receptionist or 1 year as veterinary assistant

Role Responsibilities
  • Greet clients and pets, assist with registration and wait times
  • Respond to calls, messages, and emails, maintaining client relationships
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments and diagnostics
  • Maintain accurate medical and client records
  • Keep reception and treatment areas clean and organized
  • Ensure financial responsibilities are met, including billing and payments
  • Assist veterinarians and team to maximize productivity and patient flow
  • Communicate pet health concerns and treatment guidance to clients
  • Support medical record keeping and patient history collection
  • Follow safety and sterilization protocols, maintain cleanliness
  • Support and mentor team members
