Veterinary Client Service Representative/Hospital Assistant
(Dual/Cross Trained Role)

Pet Dental Clinic, a Thrive Pet Healthcare partner, is looking for a Veterinary Client Service Representative/Veterinary Assistant to join our team.

At Pet Dental Clinic, you will have the support, tools, and resources to elevate your skills. As a hospital rooted in the local community, you will experience a genuine local feel combined with Thrive's national resources.

About You

This hybrid role involves clerical and clinical tasks, including greeting clients, appointment scheduling, medical records preparation, animal handling, laboratory work, and assisting veterinary technicians and DVMs. Strong customer service and teamwork skills are essential.

Hospital hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with scheduling dependent on hospital needs, including front desk duties, assisting in treatment areas, or floating assistance.

Role Responsibilities
  • Greet clients and pets, assist with registration, and inform about wait times
  • Maintain client relationships via phone, email, and faxes
  • Schedule and manage appointments, access patient records, and send reminders
  • Keep computer records updated and verify patient information
  • Maintain cleanliness of reception and treatment areas
  • Handle financial transactions accurately and reconcile cash drawer
  • Support veterinarians and medical team to maximize productivity
  • Communicate pet health concerns and treatment guidance to clients
  • Maintain comprehensive medical records and obtain health histories
  • Use safe restraining techniques and keep treatment areas sterile and organized
  • Mentor and support team members
